Potentially dangerous accessibility features in the Tekken 8 demo will be removed both there and in the full game, apparently starting on January 26th.
As reported by PC Gamer, Tekken 8 director Katoshiro Harada said at the Tekken World Tour 2023 Finals that accessibility features have been changed “significantly” to address concerns. As Harada talked about these changes in the past, the changes will apparently be ready for launch, although a demo update isn’t available yet.
A now-deleted Twitter/ X post originally flagged the dangerous settings, where one player combined banded black and white characters with a substantially white background. Harada apparently did, saying at the Tekken event: “A lot of people have been talking about the accessibility features in the Tekken 8 demo. It’s unclear if the relatively vague response will satisfy those who raised concerns with the demo, with EA’s game accessibility lead Morgan Baker even saying it gave him a migraine.
Tekken 8 continues the story of Jin Kazama as he battles Kazuya Mishima and tries to end their conflict once and for all.
