Preview | Amazing Spider-Man #43 marks a turning moment in the crossover.
The Gang Wars crossover brings chaos and carnage (though not murder) to New York as many villains battle for supremacy in the city’s streets. It’s peaking in March, but things are going to get bloody before then.
We have an exclusive preview of next week’s Amazing Spider-Man #43 below, which promises a battle as rival forces square off against each other in Central Park.

More importantly for Peter, however, one of his allies has been removed from the board. His best friend Randy Robertson is shot and killed in The Amazing Spider-Man: Gang War: First Strike one-shot, having shot Janice Lincoln to save him from an assassination attempt. Randy has since been hospitalized, but in the preview you’ll see Spider-Man vowing to end the gang war for good, so he can return to Randy and wait for him to recover.
The Amazing Spider-Man #43 is written by Zeb Wells, drawn by John Romita Jr., written by Scott Hanna, colored by Marcio Menez, and illustrated by Joe Caramagna.
Here’s Marvel’s official synopsis for the new issue:
“This is where the last gang war fight starts! The biggest and most brutal battle in Spider-Man history begins now, so beat your hatches!!! If you think you know Madame Mask or Think what a hobgoblin or a beetle or a diamondback is capable of. Again!”
After that, there are only two more issues of the Gang Wars arc in the main Amazing Spider-Man book, though The Miles Morales: Spider-Man, and the Daredevil, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, and the Deadly Hand of Kung Fu limited series in February and March. will continue until
