Spider-Man 2 is finally getting New Game Plus and more “highly requested features” in an update next month.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been out for a while now, with most people having played through Miles and Peter’s latest escapade, but Insomniac is finally ready to start pushing people into another playthrough.
Announced via Insomniac Games’ official Twitter account, Spider-Man 2’s highly requested new Game Plus mode will be added to the title in a free update for all players on March 7 next month.
On top of that, Insomniac has also announced that the update will bring with it several more “highly requested features”, including new suits to try out, full of additions coming closer to the update’s release. With the list.
Although we don’t get any in-depth information about this new Game Plus mode, we can assume that it will be implemented exactly like its predecessor as well as other PlayStation titles.
In the first Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac launched a Superhard difficulty mode alongside it to give players another reason to jump into the game, and there’s no reason why that shouldn’t be the case here. Just the thought of a Kraven boss fight on Ultimate difficulty makes me shudder.
As for what Insomniac is working on next, major leaks in December last year claimed that Insomniac is now working on a Venom spinoff title that will be released in 2025. Insomniac is then expected to release Marvel’s Wolverine in 2026, originally announced in 2021 with a teaser trailer.
Spider-Man 3, a new Ratchet & Clank, an X-Men game, and a new IP were all listed as planned projects as well, though we’ll be waiting years ahead. We have officially announced them.
For now, we have Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to rock again, and if you haven’t played it yet, you can actually try it out for free if you’re a PlayStation Plus member, as a free game was trialed. Available earlier this week.
Your progress in the trial, as well as the trophies you’ve earned, will all be with you if you decide to pull the trigger on the full game, so if you’re on the fence, there’s no reason not to give it a go. do not have.
